We had a terrific grand opening of the Pueblo Contra Dance on Saturday night! More than 130 people joined in for an evening of lively music and great dancing. We had lots of fun! A few pictures are posted on the right. More are posted on our photos page
NEW!!!
The Pueblo PULP Magazine published a review of our grand opening dance, which they described as "nearly bringing down the house" in their February edition. You can read about the "Pueblo Hootenanny" here
Join us for our next dance on March 13!
Pueblo's contra dance takes place in the City Park Pavilion on the 2nd Saturday of each month. A beginners walk-through starts at 6:30pm. The dance runs from 7-10pm.
Check-out the great article in the January 7th edition of The Pueblo Chieftain about the dance here.
The City Park Pavilion is just inside Pueblo City Park near the east entrance at Cleveland Ave. See the directions tab for detailed directions, or use the easy to print directions here.
The dance is open to everyone. To learn more about what a contra dance is, click on the link "What is a Contra Dance". It's great fun, good exercise and a terrific way to enjoy an evening dancing and some great music. You don't need a partner to enjoy the dance.
We always have live music and a caller who teaches the dances to the extent necessary, based on the experience level of the dancers.
Special offer: For the January, February and March dances, you can pay for one regular $7 admission and get your guest in free if you bring our dance announcement flyer. You can get a copy of it HERE or click the image below.
